Used #sketchnotes for science EOG review -- so fun, and not just for artists! Ss were super engaged, asking questions and talking with each other about science concepts. I'm a fan! Sketchnotes in the Classroom: 10 Ideas to Get Started bit.ly/2xv87i6 via We Are Teachers

I saw and loved this quote today, from the amazing J.K. Rowling "It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all - in which case, you fail by default."

My niece (in High School) worked with some friends over the summer to develop a kids' news website thelittlejournalist.org. It's a weekly news wrap-up for ages 7-12 at three reading levels. They would love an audience for their work. Check it out and spread the word!

Did you all know there's a Google extension to mute & unmute audio from different tabs (Mute Tab)? I've been trying to go between groups with all of the audio on. Oh my goodness, all those voices! I never thought I'd be so excited about a Google extension.

So happy students will keep learning while I'm at PD with assignments in Seesaw and #GoogleClassroom. I'm even going to have them check in with me thanks to this great idea from Lauren Swanson!

We love this illustration by 4th grade teacher Allana from her blog: ms.spr.ly/6016rFIDK Her tip: “Establish a class culture that values thinking and the 'struggle of learning'... How have social and emotional learning skills helped your students get over the learning pit?
