£2 bus tickets, rail strike, York Pride. It's a very busy day for the Coastliner | York & Country Coastliners. Timetable already irrelevant. We are delaying our Pickering trip and we will see how things play-out this afternoon.

Put together a BBC News Countdown: Railway Edition (I don't own or intend to take credit for any clips, all sourced from companies / productions. All I did was slap it all together and I think it looks cool)

The fuel duty escalator was introduced by John Major’s government to prevent our ever increasing number of cars on our roads. Look what happened when it was scrapped a decade or so later.

Today on Northern. 1st train cancelled. Hour wait. 2nd train cancelled at halfway point. Not a problem for us. 3rd train turned back 2 stops short of destination. 4th started 2 stops in (same train). 5th cancelled at halfway. 28 min delay and now on 6th, nearly home.

Having seen Guns n Roses in 92. I have to say I wish the vocals were lost in the mix then as they are now at #Glastonbury

31 years ago, possibly to the day. Stood in Maine Road, Manchester. Guns n’ Roses left the stage. There was was little call for encore. I turned to my mate “Just come back and play Knocking on Heavens Door and Paradise City, so we can go home. Same energy #glastonbury2023

Crimes against 4/4 time. Guns n’ Roses drummer is following the band. The drummer is following. Drummer Following #Glastonbury

“You can scream as loud as you want, nobody’s listening.” Two thirds of us no longer trust the trains. So what’s gone wrong with our railways? Ben Elton takes a journey across Britain and argues privatising the rail network was a costly mistake. #C4BenEltonTrains

Impressive work by Coastliner | York & Country. The 840 Coastliner from Whitby was 30 mins late at Malton. They debused passengers for York and put them on the 843. Then they have run the 840 express to Copmanthorpe, where it's just arriving 2 mins early. Great innovation from the team.

The Tories have lost the seats of the 4 previous Prime Ministers. Whitney (Cameron), Maidenhead (May), Uxbridge (Johnson) and South West Norfolk (Truss). That’s a clear verdict on what they have done to us.

In 2019 Corbyn’s Labour got 10,295,912 votes. In 2024 Starmer’s Labour has 9,698,409 votes* If Labour are now “electable” why did Corbyn got half a million more votes in 2019. *one seat still to declare.
