We're not lost at all!

Jeffery has very pale almost slivery eyes. Very striking! My other birds have had yellow or gold eyes, none have been this pale or skewed to the cool hues. I could stare at them for a long time.

Kitchen bird! Having birds inside is so jarring lol I do most of my manning in our semi finished basement, but I make an effort to bring them upstairs to expand their exposure so they can see our dog etc.

One of the evenings we went out in November, we happened across a deer! Jeffery dove at a few rabbits and we got to watch a pretty sunset.

Snowing pretty good today! Jeffery has seen some snow on the ground but I actually don't think he's seen it falling so we had an adventure. He seemed to think he was being accosted. Did not approve.

Redtails follow me everywhere. We went to DC & this bird landed above us while we enjoyed a snack. Then he flew over and visited with Lincoln. We also saw an albino squirrel on the national mall that I was definitely eyeballing too hard 👀

Way back during Jeffery's first introduction into a room with a ceiling fan last summer. It was turning slowly but not running. He did not approve.

Another early video of Jeffery. He had been in captivity for 24 hours & was already displaying bratty teenager behavior lmao. He's a deep sleeper & refuses to engage until it becomes apparent that I'm not gonna let him sleep. He puts his head back under his wing on the scale.

Jeffery was in his bath pan doing a weird dance, so I went to go see what was up. He saw me coming, reached down and grabbed something and hopped to his perch. It was a June beatle. This bird had a rat this morning, he is not hungry xD

Jeffery is taking his sweet time molting. His juvenile feathers are so pretty though!

Tis the season.... This bird was at bf's work, and didn't commit but may have had a crop. We have your number bird, we know where you live. Just gotta get that trap under it when it's hungry!

Here we go again! Introducing Madam Meaty Mitts (I haven't named her yet lol)

So far she's been very gentle with me, the exact opposite of Jeffery. I was afraid she'd be using the murder mitts against me at every opportunity but she hasn't used them once. It turns out some birds are just problem children...
