It was interesting to read about using the BCS as a more accurate indicator than BMI, but this made me think about what will happen if humans keep holding animals in captivity. What mutations and adaptations may occur in the future? What traits may they lose? #MontclairBioAnth101

This is interesting, because elephant seals have already endured the bottleneck effect from all the hunting previously. It is incredible to think about what could've been with an elephant seal in Indiana, but since it died and had no mate, we will never know. #MontclairBioAnth101

What I find interesting, is the different coping mechanisms that evolution has to offer. While thumb position is slightly different and radioulnarly joint is wider, the developing human had a larger brain-case, which allowed us to maneuver around this issue. #MontclairBioAnth101

Thinking along the lines of the founder's effect, I'm curious to see whether or not an ancestor before the early hominins was infected from this reservoir by a common prey, and we continued to carry a desire to hunt that species and spread this between us. #MontclairBioAnth101
