On today, the Feast of the Epiphany, I am reminded that an insecure ruler named Herod was so threatened by the birth of Jesus that he tried to overthrow the result by putting a hit out on a toddler.

So when right wing people violently storm the Capitol it’s ok?

Is this the law and order they’ve been defending? I’m confused. (I am not confused).

When can we stop being surprised that white supremacists are the most violent element in America and actually address/end the violence?

Wait wait wait wait. These people got into the Capital building, and are still alive?!

Tell me again why we can’t defund the police & military when they’ve shown us today that they don’t intend to use any of their expensive gear to protect the Capitol from a domestic invasion?

Let’s be real clear about what the response would have been if these were Black folks storming The Capitol. It would have been lethal, full stop. Grapple with that.
