I am feeling heartbroken today Miss was one of the great ones, someone who was quietly supportive from afar and I will treasure my last message for its poignancy. But we should celebrate Dawn and her impact on Education; I have learnt so much from her. I’ll miss her ❤️❤️

Between my two 30+ classes of year 11, all my one to one tutees and my 3 groups a week online tutees, I feel like I have taught half the country this GCSE…and I am thinking of every one of them.

Just had my last tutoring session with a group of boys I have been working with for most of the year. As they were leaving, one of them said, ‘it’s been a good year’ and I choked back a sob.

‘Miss, you look glowing this morning. Did you use your Charlotte Tilbury? And did you finish it off with your Laura Mercier?’ No one on earth knows my make up routine better than year 11 girls.

Eventful walk home.

So the class of 2025 spoiled me rotten. I will never underestimate the time and effort they put in to saying thank you. And goddammit they always make me cry.

Basically, Manchester has become one big Kevin and Perry sketch.

Not been on here much recently, but I now weigh less than I have in about 10 years or so. I now feel I am regaining a bit of confidence in myself, something that was needed. A way to go before I am in the ‘healthy’ range but I’m pleased.

This evening I am off to do some proper Stanning. I’ve managed to hold off dressing like an obsessive.

This was superb. Such a clever idea to look at his life through the stories of the fans. What struck me is how music can shape all of us, how music reminds us of points in our lives or gets us through difficult times, or that someone else’s words help us understand our own minds.
