What is missing is the acknowledgement that NHS Practitioner Health is a highly specialist service. It deals with one thing and one thing only - traumatised NHS staff.

The notion that standard services (let alone a few free yoga sessions at lunch) are

Melatonin - seems to be working, but each day awoken with headache - yesterday much worse than today. I'm not very familiar with using it. Does the headache improve with use?

I barely have words for how NHS England does stuff like this.

Usually you don’t burn down the house before you undertake a “review” of its suitability as a home.

NHS England is rolling back its mental health support for NHS hospital staff. No new patients will be accepted....given the parlous state of services and how some staff can be broken by their work this seems a backwards step.

This is disastrous, hideous news. NHS England are hacking back the mental health support for hospital staff. One doctor takes their life every three weeks. One nurse takes their life every single week. These numbers will now INCREASE. Victoria Atkins - please do the right thing.

NHS Practitioner Health I think NHS England has forgotten why NHS Practitioner Health started to begin with. Medical staff known to avoid seeking help often due to fears around confidentiality. Ending what is often a lifesaving resource for Drs will be detrimental to the NHS overall.

This is awful. They saved my life. It actually makes me so worried that this is no longer an option. Occupational health & employee programmes offer nowhere near what PH does.

So glad I wasted 5 years of my life for this!!

I emailed several people at the foundation school, as well as the UKFPO, between January and this month to ask about the process and have never once received a reply

I applied for pre-allocation with UKFPO hoping it would mean I could work in one of the three hospitals within commutable distance of where I live and my son could stay in his nursery, but today I’ve been given a placeholder job

Martyn C Stott There needs to be a conversation about medical school teaching. It’s worse than PBL now, recycled online lectures, less senior teaching, students rely on passmed for content. Poor medical school teaching, huge debt, poor post grad experience, a generation let down.
