Great to be back in Kazakhstan after 16 yrs. Delighted to meet with Red Crescent KZ President Yerkebek Argymbayev to reaffirm IFRC's continued collaboration during emergencies, for strengthening local capacities and advocating for people most in need.

Good meeting with MFA Tajikistan's Dep. Min. Sharaf Sheralizoda on special context of landlocked countries in a humanitarian situation, follow up to global water conference and climate crisis etc. We together with Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan (RCST) agreed to work together on these issues.

Visited one of our key partners in Central Asia #CESDRR and had a fruitful discussion with Mr Serik Aubakirov about our upcoming workshop on #disasterlaw

Together with Red Crescent Society of Kazakhstan, delighted to attend the International Volunteers Forum hosted by the Government of Republic of Kazakhstan, and representing the world’s largest volunteer network #IFRC

International Volunteers Forum #IVF organized by Ministry of Information and Social Development KZ closed with remarks of President Mr Kassym Joomart Tokayev. The motto of the event was: “in our DNA, each of us have the gene of kindness”

✈️from Tashkent, after two days excellent discussions with Uzbekistan Red Crescent, touching key priorities in strengthening our efforts in disaster management and community resilience.

The situation is critical. Civilians urgently require water, food, and medicine.

On my way to my duty station in Central Asia after a very inspiring week in our headquarters. Such a wonderful team from different parts of the world, all working with same focus; to reduce and to respond to the impact, upholding principles. Proud to be part of this team.

Thanks to our donors and Red Cross Red Crescent Societies, we marked our 45th year with Disaster Response Emergency Fund IFRC-DREF. In 2023; 14.6 M people targeted by our 90 Red Cross Red Crescent Societies in their local response activities.
