We are out and about today keeping appliances available Minsterley Fire Station Market Drayton Prees Fire Station @Ellesmere.

Where are we today I hear you ask…. Well, we have members of the team keeping appliances available in Prees Fire Station Market Drayton and Minsterley Fire Station ensuring the county remains safe.

This morning was a happy and sad occasion as we wished our friend and colleague a long and happy retirement. First time he's got the Silver Axe! 35 years of long, faithful and committed service to Shropshire and further afield.

Last working day for the team today, but we shall return to duty at 08:30 on 27th December. Wishing all our followers a safe and happy Christmas. And those who are working, we hope you aren’t too busy! #DontSayTheQWord

It’s still that time of year when you have no idea of the day, when bin day is or what you’re supposed to eat - only that it’s made of chocolate or cheese! But never the less the team are working and are supporting appliance availability in Prees Fire Station and @SFRS_Newport

First #JESIP exercise of 2025 is underway as we work alongside our colleagues in West Mercia Police and Staffordshire Police with their initial Haz Mat responder course. Crews from Telford Station and Bridgnorth Station partaking this morning.

This evening the group are hosting a service exercise involving pumps from Telford Station Albrighton Fire Station Much Wenlock Fire Station and @SFRS_Tweedale In the Albrighton area. #Development #Training #JESIP

Tuesday evening we facilitated a BA Guideline Exercise for Bridgnorth Station Cleobury Mortimer Fire Station Telford Station, supported by Craig Jackson Paul Gray @sfrs_SHurford. Huge thanks to Grainger and Worrell for hosting us and providing a fabulous training scenario location 😁

EXERCISE NOTIFICATION: A Fire and Rescue Service exercise, will be held at Talbot Garage, Cheshire Street, Market Drayton, this evening. Exercise is due to start at 7pm and will last no more than 2 hours. We will be joined by colleagues from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service Audlem Fire Station 🚒🚒

2-2 Great use of boat and drone assets to locate and rescue a number of Ruth Lee Ltd | Rescue Training Manikins floating manikins from lake 🚤 Ground search’s by other crews to locate missing casualties within wooded areas 🧑🏻‍🚒👨🏻‍🚒 Massive thanks to Alderford Lake for allowing Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service to use there venue 👏🏻
