A great day with Ts at Oconee County Schools. Using and connecting mathematical representations using manipulatives, facilitating meaningful discourse, all centered around math goals. Love reading Ts’ reflections! NEGA RESA

If you're a support/intervention/resource teacher, you absolutely have to read Sara VanDerWerf's blog post called "The #1 thing I did in my support Math Classes". It's an honest reality check that we all need. saravanderwerf.com/2016/05/24/the… #iteachmath

What’s your question? Why would you ask that question? What will be your image #4? What’s the mathematical potential? Where will the learning go next? What do you hope Ss to explore, recognize, represent, and understand? How will that change your Qs? #gardenandmath #purposefulQ

Marigold. 4 flats of 3x6 spaces, two plants in each. A. How many marigold plants? B. Each plant will grow to 18”h x 18”w. How many sqft of the garden can we fill with these? C. What if I told you all these started with one tiny seed last year? D. What can be done with this?
