Why not create a dreamcatcher by cutting a circle of card or a paper plate. Together make this unique by decorating it with paint, pencils, crayons or sticking sequins or stickers to it. #eyfs #earlyeducation #toptipfriday

Create a pair of binoculars with your child by sticking tubes together with tape or glue. Look through the windows with the binoculars to see what the weather is doing. Binoculars are a fun tool for promoting communication and language in an active and mobile way #toptipfriday

Why not try lying down with your little one on your backs together and blowing bubbles over your heads. Share some time together watching the bubbles fall toward you, encourage your little one to reach out to pop the bubbles strengthening their arms and core muscles #toptipfriday

Create a fun sensory experience for your little one by ironing around three edges of a laminating pouch. Fill the pouch with some interesting small items then fill a third of the way up with water. Carefully iron along the fourth edge of the pouch to seal it. #toptipfriday #eyfs

#toptipfriday Create a Windy Day Box for your child to explore the weather on blustery days. Resources such as bubbles, chiffon scarves and ribbons are all perfect for having fun when its windy outside. Older children might enjoy the challenge of finding the windiest spot.

#toptipfriday Bath time is an opportunity for extending your child’s mathematical knowledge and understanding by providing an assortment of containers. Whilst they are playing you can introduce mathematical vocabulary including ‘empty’, ‘full’, ‘more’ and ‘less’.

#toptipfriday when you are out walking to different places you and your child could go on a sound hunt. Use different sounds from the environment such as cars, birds, helicopter, an emergency vehicle or even the sound of the wind.

#toptipfriday keep your child active throughout the summer by playing movement games in the garden. An obstacle course is a great way to have fun and develop their gross motor skills, whilst having the opportunities to take safe risks, all while keeping fit and healthy.

#Toptipfriday Mirror play with your babies is a great way for them to start recognizing and identifying their own face (developing their perceptual abilities) but it is also a brilliant way for them to develop their language skills. #earlyeducation #nurserytips #eyfs #language

#toptipfriday Create your very own science activity at home with coloured water, pipettes or medicine syringes and cotton pads, talk about the colours observed and hypothesis about what might happen when dropping the liquid on to the cotton wool, or when the colours mix together.
