Today is International Sex Workers’ Day. ISWD is held to mark the 1975 occupation of Saint-Nizier Church by around 100 sex workers, protesting their criminalised & exploitative living conditions. Sex workers continue to mark the day by calling for fulfilment of their rights.

This is how the Nordic Model view sex workers: too dumb to be capable of advocating for themselves. Certainly too dumb to be capable of making adult decisions. Adult autonomy is one of the pillars of decriminalization. These two approaches are diametric opposites.
