As swimmers, we know our mental health is just as important as our physical health. That’s why we’re partnering with youth organisation batyr to smash the stigma around mental health and make sure every swimmer has the support they need.

Yesterday we hosted a community event to celebrate the Government’s investment in youth mental health. We’re excited to use this funding to create more impact for all young Australians and make sure their voices are heard.

Absolutely thrilled to announce that I have joined the board of batyr. For a long time now I have watched Batyr grow, working with young people to find voice to their experience of mental ill health and empowering them to break down stigma around living with mental illness.

Imagine, in 2022, having to apologise for wanting to promote inclusiveness and diversity.
