I miss software from the 90s

Für heise Developer habe ich mal wieder über die Technik bei heise online geschrieben und erzählt was wir da gerade an der Architektur gedreht haben.

The goal for software projects isn’t to avoid technical debt. The goal is to make something useful for other people.

My job as a programmer and designer is to do whatever is necessary to create that value.

I know that every sufficiently complex system has dark corners, contradictions, and paradoxes. I try to reduce these warts where I can, but I don’t obsess over it. I’m usually happy to just wall off the imperfect parts and move on to the next step.
