Some of our Seaside Park classes were treated to a special meet and greet with Latvian sculptor Pauls Jaunzems. Pauls is creating a stone sculpture that will be a permanent art fixture at Seaside Park for all of our community to enjoy!

We celebrated National Tree Day today by planting 100 seedlings in our school garden, to grow into larger trees. A huge thank you to PALS at the JDI Sussex Nursery and Steph, as well as our community partner Jim Landry, ED w/ Landscape NB/PEI.

The province had declared Sept 30 a provincial holiday in recognition of the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. The day honours the lost children & survivors of the residential school system, their families and communities. There will be no school for students Fri. Sept 30.

Early Language Services, Talk With Me program have an exciting program coming up at our school.

They support us in so many ways, to make a difference in the lives of our students. We have missed them terribly, for the past 2 1/2 years. We started to welcome them back this week, with more to come. It's an Otterly Awesome feeling, to have our PALS back at school!

Our Scholastic Book Fair is coming! Classes can visit during their library times next week and make purchases. The fair will also be open during parent-teacher conferences. Credits from sales go back into our school library for students to enjoy for years to come.
