A very well written series of books outlining what it was like to be a frontline policeman in Northern Ireland during the Troubles. Well worth reading for anyone interested in policing.

I was lucky to know Br Kevin. May he Rest in Peace. The work he did for the homeless in Dublin was special. Offered everyone the dignity of genuine help and friendship. A saintly man.

Just finished The Rest Is History series on the Irish War of Independence and Civil War. Excellent very fair exposition of controversial period in Irish history. Well done to Tom Holland Dominic Sandbrook with brilliant contributions by Paul Rouse and Ronan McGreevy Worth a listen!
