Say hello to a cephalopod you should know—the corkscrew squid, Planctoteuthis danae. This deep-sea squid has an ornate tail, the function of which is unknown. Other squids in the family Chiroteuthidae have ornate tails as juveniles, but lose them as adults. #CephalopodWeek
