July 1st!!!!! Lots of energy at work today. One of our old techs is starting her first day of residency today on our floor. What a full circle moment. 🫶🏼

Surgeon: “wait are we missing a needle?” Me: “no! Keep operating!”

The difficulties of working in health care while also struggling with serious depression is not talked about enough.

Layoffs at OHSU the last 2 weeks touted as “strategic alignment” when the only thing that seems to be aligning are the desires and plans of hospital administrators who are seemingly out of touch with the reality clinicians are facing on a daily basis.

I wish people would stop asking me what’s wrong. It’s very triggering because I’m trying so hard just to make it through each day.

Long time since I’ve been on here! Little update, I left the operating room and am now a bedside nurse on the oncology floor. I am so much happier and found joy in going to work again ❤️❤️
