Look what Apple has approved for us today :D 1.7 finally released!

For Scribe Cantonese fans, I’ve been made aware 1.70 is missing some example sentences. Update will be submitted to Apple today. ETA 1week.

Scribe Chinese users: I’ve decided to separate single Hanzi words from multi-Hanzi words. This should make it easier.

New Feature: readings in Multiple Choice (in vocab apps). You can toggle this setting in the slide-out Config panel.

Hint: In Flashcard games, if you hit “Correct” the very first time a word is shown, it will assume you already know this word.

New Setting: Words you know well will occasionally be shown in reverse A->Q format. You can turn this off in settings

More configurable settings coming in the next release for all apps. Any requests?

Scribe 2.0 apps are starting to come through. You should get the updates automatically. Will describe new features in upcoming posts :)

Exam Mode. Same style as multiple choice. It’ll mix question format. 4 settings to control scope of exam.. Enjoy!

I’m aware of a couple small bugs so far, 1 with audio in exam mode, another with blank multiple choice. I’ll update those issues soon. Thx!

Tip: Clicking on the status bar items of a word card brings up panels with help and/or adjustable options.

Settings: Word cap allows you to limit how many words you see at a time, then filling in with learnt words.

Sync network error: resolved. A few of you were getting an error when sync’ing your deck. I’ve tracked down the issue and it’s all good now.

Using Stories: Stories are ideal for first getting words into memory. Relate the sound w/ anything u know. It gets you thru that first step.
