Say what you want about Arteta's team selections, tactics & lack of experience but at the very least, this man is willing to make big calls in an attempt to fix a broken culture that has plagued the Arsenal for years.

Try seeing the game in small numbers and create environments and practice activities that promote the players getting better at small numbered and small area work, working on player actions and principles

👀 just think about this when supporting your players development, especially in the FP. He now plays for #lfc as back up keeper to best GK on the 🌍 . No one has a 🔮 so let your players try out a number of positions and get plenty of experiences all over the pitch

Word on the next step for the German youth football structure: U7-U9 will be 2v2 and 3v3, four goals and no GK. Up to 5v5 at U11 before heading to 9v9 at U13 apparently. Equal game time mandatory and no keeping score. Big statement of intent for the game there.

Underrated - A tight Circle A tight circle of trusted colleagues and/ or friends is so powerful. You are the average of the 6 people you spend the most time with - spend your time with people that support, motivate, challenge and inspire you!

If you’re coaching an Under 14, 12, 10 football team, remember, your mission objective isn’t to win! It should be to give the young people playing the best possible development experience. If winning happens as a consequence, then fantastic. Player centred = Human centred

Grassroots, if you pay your child for scoring goals; a reward apparently. Do you pay them for defending? Tackles won? Assists created? Unlikely! This does not aid learning it creates a player focused on one aspect of playing and neglects their overall player development. 🤔

Just remember when you are working with little kids, all the time you are banging on about technical stuff and tactics and all that really important coaching detail, in their heads they are playing a thumb war against themselves….
