The date of the 2025-26 Scottish Budget has been proposed for 4 December, subject to the agreement of Finance and Public Admn Committee and Scottish Fiscal Commission. The Budget will outline the Scottish Government’s proposed spending plans for the next financial year.

Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes MSP opened the Scotch Whisky Association’s Showcasing event in Edinburgh to outline the importance of whisky in delivering growth. In 2023, whisky exports contributed £5.6 billion to the economy, accounting for 74% of Scotland’s food and drink exports.
