steve goes and gets his own shoes on before grabbing his keys and wallet. “you wanna drive, rob?” he doesn’t mind either way, just likes giving her the option.

he’s quietly entering the house late, trying not to wake her if she’s asleep.

// hiii im kinda back. it’s been a rough couple of months (well, back and forth between good and rough)

he's creeping into the kitchen to get himself a snack, not noticing that she's awake.

"robbie! i didn't want to wake you." he's pausing with the fridge open as if he were a child getting caught doing something wrong. "i would have been home a lot sooner, but... well, okay it's a long story."

"eddie!!" he's catching the other in his arms, hugging him tight. he's feeling extra affectionate. "hi."

he hates how easily eddie can make him blush, feeling his cheeks heating up. "i missed you." it's a shy whisper, something about eddie always makes his confidence fly out of the window.

"i don't know if i can relax. my brain is going too fast. please don't even joke about me not having a brain because at this point, my thoughts are so loud that i can confirm i do have one." he's rambling, words coming out faster than he can even think them.

that makes him blush even more. a wide grin spreads across his face at the forehead kiss. "do you wanna go out tonight? maybe like a date...?"

he's groaning as he feels the poke to his face. he's still trying to grasp on to any bit of sleep he can. "ten more minutes." his voice comes out more whiny than intended as he covers himself with a pillow. he is NOT a morning person.

"i don't know, i think everything in my life is just crashing down and i want to quit my stupid job but i can't because no where else will hire me," he's sighing before going to wash his hands. "sorry, it's just been a long day and it's finally catching up."

"actually... make that twenty." he's yawning before attempting to fall back asleep. he likes being able to sleep in on days off.

"well there's this nice restaurant a few hours away if you're up for a drive," he suggests, blush still present on his cheeks as he silently prays the other will say yes.

“you don’t have to. i like what you usually wear,” he smiles at the other before chewing on his bottom lip. he’s just thankful eddie agreed to go. “maybe we could see a movie, if you want to do that too?”

he’s bringing @OFSAPPHICSCOOPS a basket with her favorite candies, snacks, a book, and a vhs tape. “just something to say sorry for going missing there for a while.”

he’s here. it’s too early and he’s cranky.
