We can’t move this city forward unless we deliver a recovery for everyone — for our immigrant communities, street vendors, taxi workers, teachers and nurses, small business owners and frontline workers.  We can’t leave anyone behind. That’s what loving New York City means.

#70PlansforNYC: Day 69 📚 I will establish a comprehensive citywide apprenticeship program linked to workplace training and tightly aligned around the sectors where middle-income job growth will be strongest: life sciences, health, information technology, design, and finance.

⚡️ Fun Fact: My favorite park is Brooklyn Bridge Park. Why? Because my wife, Liza, is a landscape architect who helped design it! It feels like home to us. Thanks NYLCV!

Zoning subcommittee is now meeting! And a reminder that the Blood Center drama has kind of overshadowed the huge, years-in-the-making Gowanus Upzoning.

Today at the New York City Council Land Use Committee, I voted yes to the NY Blood Center rezoning because this project will have tremendous impact not just on our City, but globally. It's an opportunity for economic development and jobs that we can't pass up during our recovery from COVID.
