It was great to have Luke Kersten University of Alberta visit Dartmouth 🌲. He challenged my students to consider whether/how theories of personal identity, the extended mind & embodied cognition relate to the self. And ‘Ingo (Brigandt)’ made an unplanned appearance in the Inga-Otto example!

Luke Kersten University of Alberta brought back Larry Laudan’s “research tradition” in his talk Dartmouth 🌲. He applied Laudan’s framework to problem-solving in cog sci, arguing that embodied cognition has the highest-problem solving adequacy atm #epistemicvalue #paradigms #problemsolving
