The official presentation of credentials for the newly appointed Country Representative UN Women Ethiopia, Ms. Jennet Kem, was held today at the The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia 🇪🇹 marking the formal commencement of the Representative’s mandate in the country.
The credentials were received by Dr. Aziza Geleta, Director General of Protocol Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The occasion reaffirmed the strong partnership and continued cooperation between UN Women and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Aziza Geleta
The New Country Rep, Jennet Kem reaffirmed UN Women’s unwavering commitment to support the Government implement its National 10-Year Perspective, which has informed the new UN Women Ethiopia’s country program/SN 2026-2030 of which a copy was handed over to the Chief of Protocol.

Happening this afternoon: UN Women Ethiopia Country Rep Ms. Jennet Kem held a courtesy introductory meeting with H.E. Dr. Ergogie Tesfaye, Minister of Women and Social Affairs, to reaffirm the strong partnership in advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment in Ethiopia.
