❗️Here’s a closer drone view of the collapsed Bridgewater Canal embankment in Dunham Massey, taken today. Engineers have been at the scene assessing the scale of the damage, which represents the most significant breach of the canal since 1971. 🎥 Semuel Edward Mills

If Rachel Reeves thought companies could easily absorb the extra £24bn in NI charges she is about to see she was very much mistaken. As Next replaces till staff with self-scanners, the jobs bloodbath is just beginning. dailysceptic.org/2025/01/08/the…

Hi Morrisons. If you wanted to show your support British farmers and other British people, perhaps you could pay corporation tax in this country? Just a thought.

The approaching #StormÉowyn is genuinely the most impressive-looking non-tropical cyclone I can clearly recall watching on satellite imagery. Just look at that vast hook of deep cloud cover around a rapidly rotating 'eye'. Non-tropical cyclogenesis in peak form.

I’ve lived in London for the last 18 months. Phone theft was as rampant then as it is today. And the fact that it’s taken this long for a serious combat plan to be put in place is a complete failure of city leadership. Not good enough.

The student loan system is one of the biggest financial scandals of our time. Sold as an ‘investment in your future’ but structure like a debt trap. A mis sold graduate tax. A system designed to keep graduates paying for decades, far more than we ever borrowed #studentloans

I pay an extra 15% tax each month because I went to university. Now I’m in my 30s, I’m seeing more clearly how our student loans system helps widen, not close, the gap.. Your parents’ income at the time you go to uni makes a big difference to your future financial security.

This is awful and is sadly yet further evidence of how endemic this phone theft situation is in London. When will the Mayor and police take it as seriously as it should be? It’s happening everywhere! Get well Malcolm Byrne 🇮🇪 🇪🇺 🇺🇦! 🙏🏻 Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan Sadiq Khan

What a disgrace. Regardless on your views, suggesting a shark attack on other humans is awful. Charlie Mullins has been deplatformed before for this type of content. He will never learn. He should be stripped of his OBE.

💧 Why we need more SuDS basins like this: Instead of building over every inch of land, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) like this balancing pond add real value to developments. They don’t just manage surface water, they enhance places.

In any other major city in Europe the streets of Soho would obviously be pedestrianised and businesses/visitors on a glorious day like today could enjoy al fresco dining. But thanks to Westminster Council and the way we give outsized power to absurd local complaints, not here!
