ecDNA is hot! We encourage you to also read yesterday’s @nature paper lead by Mischel Lab Howard Chang Bing Ren and Vineet Bafna. nature.com/articles/s4158…

Check out our first preprint! Together with Richard Koche Center for Epigenetics Research (MSKCC) we show that MYCN amplicon structure is not only determined by local enhancers , as shown by Scacheri Lab Cell but that chimeric amplicons can recruit distal enhancers leading to enhancer hijacking.

Excellent preview in Cancer Cell covering recent work on the role of extrachromosomal circular DNA in cancer, including our study in Nature Genetics with Anton Henssen et al. Thank you for the highlight, Chris Ott. cell.com/cancer-cell/pd…

Finished off with some historical sites in Jerusalem, including the western wall. Great tour with Case Comp Cancer Ctr colleagues including Scacheri Lab

Big congrats to freshly minted PhD, Andrew Morton. He just successfully defended his thesis online! Andrew Morton #DamnProud

Congrats to Corradin Lab!

How does resistance to targeted therapy develop in #lungcancer? Is it pre-existence or a de novo mechanism? Andriy Marusyk lab Moffitt Research adds evidence for a truly Darwinian, gradual development from tolerant persisters to full resistance. A THREAD nature.com/articles/s4146…

Recruiting talented data scientists and molecular biologists to work on our newly funded project 👇🏼! This is our collective brainchild with Susan Bullman & CJohnstonLab. Please retweet! Interested applicant please email [email protected] wmkeck.org/grant-programs…

Genome wide association studies have been used to identify genes that may be linked to opioid use disorder, but need hundreds of thousands of samples. Olivia Corradin & collaborators have developed a way to identify these genes, using a small # of samples: wi.mit.edu/news/opioids-a…
