Earlier this month, our staff responded to an excessively buoyant manatee with a watercraft wound near Fort Myers. The manatee was successfully rescued and taken to SeaWorld for rehabilitation.

Earlier this month, our staff responded to a lone manatee calf in thin body condition seen in Volusia County. The manatee was successfully rescued and taken to SeaWorld for rehabilitation.

Earlier this month, SeaWorld, Broward County Environment, Broward Sheriff, Broward Drainage District, and our staff and law enforcement responded to a manatee entrapped in a pond near Miramar. The manatee was successfully rescued, examined by our biologists, and released at a boat ramp nearby.

Lots of #manatee rescues have happened recently. A big Thank You to all the MRP partners who helped and the citizens who called the manatees in!

Earlier this month, ZooTampa at Lowry Park, Clearwater Aquarium, Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, and our staff responded to a thin manatee entrapped in a retention pond. The manatee was successfully rescued and taken to SeaWorld for rehabilitation.
