a big, discreet form of bullshit in the self help industry is the pressure to turn every negative into a positive. optimism, reframes, etc are huge. but also, sometimes, it’s not self pity. you’ve just been through some strange, dark shit. & that’s what you need to have heard.

There needs to be 21+ gyms. I’m tired of the high school groups in their pajamas spending over an hour on one piece of equipment and hardly using it.
