Ford won promising real conservative ideas. I was there. I remember campaign Ford. He secured that first majority by talking about a new direction, and new ideas. He won, and abandoned them almost immediately.

gotta love how Danielle Smith gets to ask eight referendum questions at her own convenience, yet forces, her constituents to spend months collecting signatures for one This is exactly why Alberta needs to leave, the government will never relinquish power until we take it

What's the point of Danielle Smith holding a referendum on all those questions she talked about if Albertans vote majority in favour of independence in a referendum for independence this fall? Wouldn't a vote for independence just nullify those questions?

Why doesn't Danielle Smith hold her referendum with her various questions ASAP? Why not get them out of the way and then in the fall the independence referendum in Alberta can take place? Why wait?

According to the Clarity Act (formally An Act to give effect to the requirement for clarity as set out in the opinion of the Supreme Court of Canada in the Quebec Secession Reference, S.C. 2000, c. 26), the referendum question on Alberta independence does not require approval

Watching stayfreealberta collecting all those signatures is exciting albeit a bit frustrating for us in Saskatchewan because it sure would be nice to actually collect signatures of our own for our own referendum. For that to happen though, we need to keep building and growing.
