My labmate Lincoln Oliver found this 3-legged Eastern Box Turtle during fieldwork. Based on the engravings on the plastron (underside of shell), this individual was marked in 1924 and is at least 96 years old!!! WOW. I almost can't wrap my mind around how old this turtle is.
