I will once again ask all in NHS England Workforce, Training and Education ( & RCGP ) to read this tweet from Rob Fleming

Amplifying thoughts of thousands of SAS colleagues in

Not to mention not enough GP training posts too

What on earth are you all doing pushing lesser qualified posts?

Itโ€™s bias, no?

Called the micro reg at 1930 on a Sunday and immediately after getting off the phone theyโ€™ve sent me this email.

Absolutely chuffed with this feedback, particularly given the time of the call ๐Ÿ˜‚

Moles and spillage; a thread (as I feel like Iโ€™m living in a sitcom.

So, I have a cat. Heโ€™s awesome.

Yesterday, said cat was taking an unusual interest in my lounge furniture.

This was because heโ€™d brought in a live mole and let it run around in my house

I loved - so much to learn. Also made me reflect on the 20%+ doctors in EM who are SAS and how our roles and job titles continue to confuse and muddle - that we are inadvertently excluded or omitted or belittled. Work to do EMSAS The SAS Collective

We agree. A better understanding of SAS careers could make a huge difference to thousands of careers.

Supporting everyone to reach their potential might help solve the workforce crisis.

Plus, SAS doctors are cool.

For anyone who missed this...

The SAS Doctor pay dispute is not over.

Journalists, the term is 'SAS doctors'.

The fact that you have to explain it is an opportunity to explain it, not to use something else.

There is no โ€˜backstoryโ€™ to ending of 2/care NHS Practitioner Health other than (weโ€™re told) - no budget. To remind, it was established following suicide of a psychiatry who also killed her baby and highlighted the barriers doctors have in accessing mental health care.

Have set myself the challenge of a daily for a charity providing support to medical staff experiencing mental health issues. We need to look after each other to care for others. To learn more please see: Doctors in Distress on JustGiving. justgiving.com/page/laura-hipโ€ฆ

The NHS Practitioner Health debacle is a reflection of so much that is wrong with NHS England.

A decision made to close a service *before* doing a review and impact assessment.

Martyn C Stott if you think leadership skills are taught during a training period of an NTN?

You have much to observe and learn yet I am afraid

Itโ€™s not those NTN years which make you a good or bad leader

Itโ€™s ethos and values

Such as not assuming who can and cannot be leaders

Martyn C Stott having sat through many an NTN process?
it really isnโ€™t

To say SAS doctors shouldnโ€™t be leaders ahead of Consultants is mostly nonsense

Unadulterated type of nonsense to be fair

Martyn C Stott This perspective demonstrates a complete misunderstanding of what it means to lead and lead well.

Elitist and exclusionary leadership is not good leadership.

Portfolio tickboxing (which many NTN applications are sadly based on) does not equate to being a good leader either.
