Wow grade 7's learned alot throughout this unit! In our culminating task students described and preformed translations, reflections and rotations on a Cartesian plane while using the elements & principles of design in art to communicate their ideas in these barn quilt tiles!

My grade 7 placement has been lots of fun, especially as we've been working with substances & mixtures in our new science unit. Right now students are using scientific inquiry skills to investigate the observational properties of household substances using their 5 senses!

Students compleated their culminating task in our substances health unit while creating a 2 page spread. Here we made connections to mental health & body image, addiction & resources for help. All while implementing a wide variety of text features including purpose & location.
