.@InvestinPlace's The Bus Stops Here report articulates the inconsistency of bus stop infrastructure in Los Angeles. It's painful but not shocking that the greatest inconsistencies are observed in Black and Brown communities. Local jurisdictions manage that infrastructure. (1/2)

Neighbors along Grand Ave have an opportunity for big improvements to AC Transit and active transportation🚶‍♀️🚲🚍🌳 There's been lots of discussion of what City of Oakland should do. I strongly support both bus lanes and protected bike lanes on Grand. My statement: sarahfortransit.com/news

I’ll vote no. In 2018 AC Transit adopted a schedule of increases similar to BART. Since the pandemic the Board has voted to defer these fare increases each year. We have an opportunity to protect bus riders from higher fares AND to consider free local transfers & fare capping.

Thanks for sharing this experience. Last fall the Board heard how all door boarding pilot is going & directed staff to identify priority lines &/or bus stops for expansion of all door boarding. This was a compromise as we didn’t have the votes for system-wide all door boarding.

No one – not Reid Hoffman, not Elon Musk, not any other billionaire – should be able buy our elections. It's time to get Big Money out of politics.

A small gesture, a kind word, or a moment of understanding can make all the difference.
