No American should by tricked by their landlord, pay housing junk fees, or face predatory tactics. Appreciated hearing from Colorado residents about the challenges people face when renting. Many thanks to Community Economic Defense Project for hosting & Phil Weiser for the terrific partnership.
Great to sit down with Colorado farmers & ranchers to discuss FTC’s work protecting people’s right to repair, be it your tractor or your car. Consumers deserve choice and repair shops deserve the chance to compete. Thanks to Rep. Joe Neguse & Senator John Hickenlooper for the warm welcome!
Joined @LinaKhanFTC and Rep. Joe Neguse in Longmont to chat with Colorado farmers about right to repair laws that give them the tools they need to update high-tech equipment. Chair Khan fights for American consumers, and we’re thankful to have her brilliant leadership!
ICYMI: Today, our members met w/consumer champion Lina Khan for a productive discussion on strengthening worker power & bringing economic relief to millions through policies like the FTC noncompete ban. Thank you to Chair Khan & President Biden Vice President Kamala Harris for taking on corporate greed! 💪
You ought to be able to sit next to your child on a flight without paying more. Today, my Administration is proposing a ban on airlines charging those fees. It'll save a family of four as much as $200 per roundtrip, and get us one step closer to ending all junk fees for good.
We’re making it easier to cancel subscriptions and memberships. You shouldn’t have to navigate a maze just to cancel unwanted subscriptions and recurring payments. The FTC is hard at work finalizing its “Click to Cancel” rule that it proposed to make this process a requirement.
