My very first year of teaching was opening Elsa England with Jana Stowe. Those who work with Jana know she has an enormous heart and high expectations. I hope I can continue to make an impact that will make you proud, Jana! So happy and thankful for you! You will be missed. ❤️

Students in our class planned over a week of lunches for me on their own! They brought traditional meals from their countries of origin. I got to try food from four countries! They would also cheer each time I took the first bite. ❤️ #RRISD students are the best.

Acts of kindness that feel small to us have a big impact on others. Research: kids and adults underestimate how tiny acts of generosity lift others' moods. There's no easier way to make someone's day than to offer a compliment, give a little gift, or send a handwritten note.
