Spent a fun afternoon with the Keeler Park Tenants Association and Samra Brouk to remind everyone to get out and vote. Polls are open 6am-9pm. If you requested a mail or absentee ballot, make sure to mail it with a postmark tomorrow!

.Governor Kathy Hochul: you have the opportunity TODAY to make NY more affordable for low income families. Please sign Jessica Ramos & Sarah Clark’s bill to end NY’s deeply inequitable (& nonsensical) rule barring families from child care assistance because they EARN TOO LITTLE!

Gov. Kathy Hochul vetoed a bill expanding child care aid to low-income families, saying it includes costs not accounted for in the fiscal plan. We talked w/Assemblymember Sarah Clark about this effort, which represents a tiny part of the budget. capitolpressroom.org/2024/08/15/exp…

We can build on successful programs like The Bridge Project to pull families out of poverty and change the trajectory of a child’s life. NY Senator Jessica Ramos says it best, let’s win with money for moms!

I absolutely agree. With all the issues regarding the PPL transition and the amount of public dollars involved in this contract, we deserve to see the details. Thank you Chair Assemblywoman Amy Paulin for leading here!

This week I had the privilege to welcome to the Assembly Chamber 4th graders from Rochester School for the Deaf These students got to see what it is like around the Capitol during our busy budget votes and had the opportunity to ask questions about the legislative process. Future leaders in the house!

Proud to announce that my bill with Sarah Clark, the Student Lifeline Act, became law today. College students in NYS will have the 988 crisis number on their students IDs– a direct connection to compassionate, lifesaving care that helps address our youth mental health crisis.
