Sometimes (always) I am early for an event and then I standout, hopefully far enough away from the door, waiting to be on time. Trying to hide my inner keener.

Hey Ryan Reynolds I had to accept the Aurora award for Deadpool 2 (Best Visual Effects) at Can*Con for you. This scares me. I think I’d rather take on tornadoes than an angry Ryan Reynolds thinking that I stole the award. I’ve seen both Deadpools.

Me: My mentee at work thinks I give good advice/guidance and I have it together. This is going well. Also me: eats half a party-size bag of sour patch kids for breakfast

Every year I remember that I decided after the last Can*Con to take the Monday off. Every year I do not with regret. It was a great weekend. Thank you to all involved! Especially Marie Bilodeau Derek Künsken Brandon Crilly (he/him) Evan May, the concom, volunteers and participants!

I judged everyone wearing a full on winter coat, scarf and hat on my walk home from work tonight. It was not that cold. My fall jacket was more than fine, though I wished I had some gloves.
