This is a very weird time to be British on twitter, and to be British generally.

I'm watching some of the pageantry on the news today and enjoyed the BBC felt they had to specify it was all past LIVING prime ministers who were in attendance, as if someone was going to think we dug the others up and displayed them alongside the rest. Saving that for a story.

BBC news are now telling us what people from Mars would think of the ceremonies. What is actually happening? What weird mirror world have I fallen into? I think I need a strong tea. That said, I've enjoyed the lady with the bearskin hat and giant sword. I would like more of this.

Hello everyone, I'm Sarah. I write all sorts of things but mostly adult and YA SFF. There are few settings in books I can honestly say I really love, but I dipped back into Mort recently, and Terry Pratchett's Discworld as a setting I've always really enjoyed. #ASFchat

Scrap Metal is about real love and artificial life. Jasper, a rental housebot, tries to find love while surviving a divided world in which he has little influence, where being scrapped is an ever present threat...or something? #ASFchat

Kevin would be mildly annoyed and make a complaint through the proper channels. Jasper would be confused as to why anyone would try to steal his identity as he is a robot, and all you could do is steal his model number, but Jasper might actually find that useful. #ASFchat

Jasper is a robot with bio-synthetic skin. He's a five year old rental but has no memory of his past life, it's been wiped. What he does have is a burn-scar on his chest and a sense of dread in his gut when he thinks about it. Maybe one day he'll find out how it happened?#ASFchat

I'm a Brit and Queen died so it's been a bit weird so far. We had a procession with a ceremonial goat and everything. I still haven't quite finished this draft of Scrap Metal so I'm taking a break to inhale a friends book. I'm really enjoying it. #ASFchat

I've finally harvested my peppers. I have a few more growing on the same plant. They were delicious.

I'm beta reading for a friend and having one of those days where I feel like I'm a much better beta reader or CP than writer. It's just so much easier to help someone else than it is to help myself. #WritingCommmunity

Today is a day of more beta reading and deciding if I'm going to attempt making Halloween bunting. I sometimes find doing physical but creative activities like crafts, gardening and DIY helps me with my writing but also I just like challenging myself and making something new.

I'm having a quiet day in with the puppy today and trying to get some DIY done. It's helping me mull over plot details.

I've not got much writing done this month as I've spent part of it on holiday gathering inspiration, but I'm excited to have a short story out in an anthology 26th Nov (Severed Souls, Space Cat Press). I'm looking forward to editing more short fiction. #ASFchat
