We ask that sources give us their names, and we should honor that by being transparent on our end as well, even during strikes.

Okay, okay, okay. Your eclipse photos were great yesterday. But great photographers can deliver anytime. So, which one of y'all is gonna get me a great eclipse photo TODAY?

.Gannett wanted us to accept a proposal that would cause many of us to take home less pay than we currently do🥴 with a one-time raise of 50 cents per hour. That’s significantly less than what two other Gannett shops were offered ($1 per hr raises annually).

While @Statesman journalists have been on strike for four days, we’ve been anything but idle: our members have rallied for several pickets🪧💥, worked on contract proposals📝, and…drumroll please…cooked up 🧑‍🍳 some gourmet memes🍳🥣 .
