This is incredibly brave and moving piece from Cassie part of United Response and Leonard Cheshire report into disability hate crime. There is a lot of divisive language being used and it's important to note it can have real consequences for disabled people. Please be an ally.
BAFTA awarding-winning actor Leon Harrop has suffered disability discrimination. That’s why he’s making this week’s #R4Appeal on behalf of United Response, a charity campaigning for equal rights and access to opportunities for disabled people.

Great to see a commitment and hopefully a chance to go further in making travel accessible. This is why United Response research into #disabilityhatecrimes on transport is so important.
Our amazing team United Response supported Louise and her father Mac, who feature in this piece, to challenge the decision to cut her support hours. Social care enables people to live in the place they call home with the people and things they love. This can’t be put at risk.
A great celebration of the amazing work of the Our Life Stories team and lots more to come! United Response
