We are seeing some signs the current restrictions are working. But our hospitals are still on the brink. Therefore, I am extending existing restrictions for three weeks – ending January 4th. It is a dangerous time in Washington. We need to buckle down through the holidays.

Congress should act on relief today. But if they fail to do so, Washington state is prepared to extend Pandemic Unemployment Assistance benefits beyond Dec. 25th. That means business owners, self-employed workers and independent contractors will still be eligible for assistance.

I will be extending Washington state’s eviction moratorium through March 31, 2021. We are still finalizing the details, but I know people need certainty that an extension is coming. Additional information will be announced in the next week.

No need to click the link to apply for a PUA claim, but it's not a problem if you did. Because new fed stimulus was signed into law after PUA expired, it created some confusion in the computer system. Continue to submit weekly claims as usual. More Q&A➡️ow.ly/HgXX50CWnTJ
