Under the EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid 🇪🇺 funded #pratibaddha project, Save the Children with the government, People in Need Nepal and partners supported vulnerable families with temporary relocation and provided immediate and essential basic needs support to high-risk communities in Sindhupalchowk UK in Nepal 🇬🇧🇳🇵

#SaveResponds Relief supplies, including 200 shelter and hygiene kits, 50 kitchen utensil sets, 50 dignity kits, 14 school kits and seven early childcare and development (ECCD) kits, dispatched by Save the Children have reached Chainpur in Jayaprithivi Municipality, Bajhang.

Save the Children #Nepal in coordination with local government and DDMC, has begun the distribution of immediate basic non-food items to earthquake affected families of Jay Prithivi Municipality, Golai, Bajhang.

Affected households were provided with shelter kits, hygeine kits, utensil sets and dignity kits. A total of 72 most affected individuals have been provided with immediate relief materials as of today.

The relief packages were delivered to 71 households in Bheri Municipality, Ward #1 of Rimna. These packages include shelter and hygiene kits, blankets, baby essentials, winterization kits, kitchen utensils, and various other non-food items.

📍 Nepal To provide shelter to victims of the latest earthquake, the EU donated tents, stoves and winter kits. In a big logistics effort, 7 flights are bringing the material from EU stocks in Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu. Then trucks will deliver it to affected towns in the west.

#EarthquakeResponse Save the Children, with support from European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Operations, has received 800 life-saving winter tents, which will be distributed to the earthquake-impacted areas of Jajarkot and Rukum West.

The tents were handed over to Save the Children by the EU Ambassador to Nepal, Veronique Lorenzo. The tents provided by the European Union (EU) are fire retardant, waterproof, equipped with stoves and are apt to resist harsh winter conditions.

The 6.4 magnitude earthquake that hit Jajarkot and Rukum West on November 3rd has disproportionately impacted children, pregnant women, older people, and people with disability.
