A wonderful piece by Sana Ahmed Wilder (she/her)! "...turn to your grandmothers’ quilts, temperature blankets, writing, and art. What data exists there that we’ve been passing off as relics of domestic work, instead of paying attention to their deeper meaning?" dataliteracy.com/handmade-in-pu…
How hypocritical Evaluation Headlines : invite scholars and researchers to share about equitable and inclusive practices while upholding white supremacist culture by profiting off of black and brown labor. Count me out of #eval21
I attended this Evaluation Headlines town hall and was impressed by leadership's transparency, listening to members, and showing they truly heard voices by changing their policies. So I may submit a proposal this year but.......virtual conferences are marathons. How do you survive them?
Spent this weekend reading Child Trends guide titled 'How to Embed a Racial and Ethnic Equity Perspective in Research.' It contains alternatives and advantages to "gold standard RCTs" that are going to make you SING. Must-read.
Since I became What Works Clearinghouse certified earlier this year, my results have been requested a few times. Guess what friends? Now you can just look my name up in their directory! #legit #itme #anotheremail #saved
Amanda Coleman question made me rethink so much of what I've learned "Are we okay with continuing to conduct research that are steeped in intellectual tradition [of examining marginalized communities without marginalized communities]?" Nope. Thanks Mathematica
It's Friday so in reflecting on the past workweek. Blown away by the fun and usefulness of the Region 14 Comprehensive Center Year 3 kick-off. Big 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 to my colleagues & friends who brought all the real-time energy to a virtual environment. #evaltwitter #edresearch
