Can’t quite put into words how HAPPY I am to be heading back to DC next week. You only truly grasp how much a city means to you once you’ve stepped away from it.

This year marks both my 11th as a D.C. United fan and my 1st year back working in North America. As fate would have it, the last match of the season became my 1st match of the year – and on Fan Appreciation Day, I brought a gift to the club that has meant so much to me. See you tmr

I paid $600 for a round trip to DC – leaving at 2am, back the next day – to watch the final match of the season. Slept on the airport floor, endured the tiredness, all for a club that is frankly dreadful through the season. At customs in Toronto, the officer asked if I was a DC
