Warnes interview on Radio Derby was worrying. Hourihane & Bird playing in each other’s position, NML out of position & seemingly our plan is just to get it wide & swing it into the box? Should be dominating teams with the ball in this league with the players we have.

He’s not actually just said we played really well has he? We’re absolutely clueless. Let teams come onto us & hope to nick one from a cross or set piece. Players at his disposal in this league we should be playing teams off the park. Nice bloke, but completely out his depth.

Genuinely, what on earth do we do in training all week? We have zero patterns of play to break teams down unless it’s throwing a cross in & hoping for the best, or hitting a team on the counter. Warne is getting nowhere near the best out of this squad in a piss poor league.

What in the BTEC is this!? ‘We don’t need to create from the middle of the pitch, we just need to get it out wide’. I’m all for simplicity & getting the ball to the wide players to have a go at full backs, but is this it? This level of simplicity is negligent & Sunday league.
