When someone makes or presents cultural items as their own from a culture not their own, it’s called Cultural Appropriation (a nicer way of saying theft). A question for Métis Nation of Ontario: when did the National Flag of the historic Métis Nation fly in your new communities?

The Métis are selling us out…we are all Indians under s35. And they are entering into all these agreements with governments. S35 and SCC are wrong. There should, needs to be a hierarchy of rights under s35.

The “Métis Nation of Ontario” continues to push First Nations out of the way. It’s sad that municipalities have become willing partners in MNO colonization against Ontario FNs. Beausoleil First Nation quits local culture organization collingwoodtoday.ca/local-news/bea… via CollingwoodToday

I cannot speak for Canada but today in 1778, the first treaty in American history was signed between the US and "Indian Tribes" at Fort Pitt (Pennsylvania ?). So to commemorate that, today everybody should take a piece of paper and rip it up.

It continues to baffle me as to how Ontario and Canada continue to recognize MNO and their new historic communities when there is no proof of distinct cultural identity, history and community. No proof of their own governance systems, social structures and community recognition.
