... Wow. He directed a slight glare in his direction. "Do you people not know when to be quiet?"

"What tipped you off?" That was sarcasm. It must be pretty obvious he wasn't like the others around here.

wOW— "Well, you're creative with the insults, at least. I'll give you that."

Something very suspicious here. He's crawling up from one of the manholes.

He froze immediately, barely moving enough to even glance in her direction. "... I was just about to leave."

... A very quiet sigh escaped him, although he begun to slowly lower himself back into the manhole, getting a better look at who was threatening him as he did. "I ain't here to hurt nobody, just sayin'—"

He'd freeze once he noticed the Inkling coming toward him, and instead lowered himself further down into the manhole—trying to be hidden.

He peered up from the manhole, brows furrowing slightly at the other. "Y'do know what I am, right ?"

... "Good." He then lifted himself out of the manhole a little more like before, although he made sure to glance around to check if anyone was there. "I ain't supposed to be here."

"Why are we here? Just to suffer?"

"Not a lot are like that, huh? A lot of squids are.. really happy. All the time." From what he's seen, anyway. He's prepared for a bad reaction, though. Squids can be unpredictable.

Well, nice to know Inkopolis is protected. From one (1) salmon-y boy.
