The day I show an unfiltered day in my life as a doctor in Kano’s biggest public hospital, is the day many of you will finally understand that our leaders are failing us. Today, we lost many pts, not because we didn’t know how to help them but because we didn’t have enough beds.

We don’t need new paint or pretty curtains in the ER. We need basic surgical tools that work. We need gloves, oxygen, bedspace etc I’ve seen doctors cut with scissors that barely work, I’ve begged patients to bring gloves so I could treat them safely.
