It is both #YoungCarersActionDay and #LongCovidAwarenessDay today so here's a little shout out to my book. A young carer protagonist and a mum with #postviral #chronicillness #MECFS. The more kids' hands we can get it into, the more awareness we can spread 💙

I started using the Visibility app to help #MECFS pacing this week. And wow it actually works. I had a virtual school visit yesterday which consequently means I'm crashing today. It feels good though to actually see my symptoms are biologically validated!

Seeing a lot of tweets about people with #VerySevereME recently. Particularly those who are struggling to receive the vital care they need in hospital. Everyone should read and share these two AMAZING books by Jessica Taylor-Bearman. We deserve better understanding and better care.

I think when most people hear bedbound they think abt lying in bed watching favorite shows, knitting, calls w/ friends, doing crosswords, folding laundry. I don't think they imagine being unable to do any of those things & using their phone for only briefly a few times/day.

I can't tell you how good it is to see this on national news. Every single one of us with M.E. has fought the stigma of this illness. So often at medical appointments we're made to feel we're to blame for such debilitating symptoms. I really hope the tide is starting to turn.
